Roy Camblin - Parler Paris Après Midi

Roy Camblin, one time circus performer, pilot, high-profile business executive, artist, and writer, spoke about “Individual Financial Survival in a Toxic Economy...” what everyone needed to know about how capitalism has mutated over the past forty years, including Wall Street, and the rampant looting of world economies.

It wasn’t one of our more uplifting sessions, but it was clearly one of our more enlightening and thought-provoking, if not frightening! We learned that a quote by- Frederic Bastiat, a French writer and economist (1801-1850), as quoted by Bill Moyers, is still very true today:

“When greed becomes a way of life for a group of men living in society, they create for themselves, over the course of time, a legal system that authorizes it, and a moral code that glorifies it.”

No joke. “It’s all theater, “ said Roy Camblin. Bernie Madoff was arrested because his own son described his activities as a “massive Ponzi scheme” and Camblin confirmed that all of our bank and stock statements are a “big lie.” If we actually all wanted to cash in on our accounts, the liquid asset simply isn’t there.

What’s the answer? He says put away enough cash to last several months…just in case of a crash that is destined to take place. Yikes!...but good advice.
