La Rose du Marais is a beautiful and spacious home away from home in the heart of Paris' oldest district -- Le Marais. Professionally renovated and redecorated, this charming apartment is in a stately and quiet building just a few blocks away from Place des Vosges.
On the third floor with an elevator, you may enter the building from both boulevard Beaumarchais and rue des Arquebusiers in the 3rd Arrondissement, making it convenient to Métro lines, buses and all of central Paris.
Rue des Arquebusiers is an oasis in the bustling Marais. The street hosts a small, elegant hotel, Villa Beaumarchais, featured prominently in the 2001 French film, Va Savoir, by the famous film director, Jacques Rivette, and a magnificent jewel of a rose garden, Jardin Saint-Gilles-Grand-Veneur adjacent to the grounds of Saint Denis du Saint Sacrement and its abbey.
The Beaumarchais lobby retains its original mosaic tile work, stained glass windows and glass block ceiling. It is literally like stepping back in time to turn-of-the-20th-century Paris.
The apartment’s grand entry doors lead into a sun-bathed foyer with beautiful rose trellis ironwork and streams of natural light from the large windows that line the entire apartment overlooking the peaceful cobblestoned courtyard. A lovely powder room is just off the foyer.
The foyer opens to a spacious dining room, with an antique dining set that seats up to eight people. A hand-crafted marble-topped vaisselier buffet is conveniently equipped with dinnerware, a sink and hidden dishwasher. On the walls are original illustrations by Hansi, one of France’s most famous illustrators of the WWI era.
The kitchen is entirely new with new custom cabinetry and appliances -- a full sized oven, a four-burner stove top with both gas and electric burners, a full-sized refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and all cooking equipment and utensils…it even has a concealed washer/dryer.
Just beyond the dining area is a comfortable living room equipped with a custom-made sofa, (built 2 blocks away at l’Atelier Saint Sabin) which cleverly converts into either a double bed or two singles -- each as comfortable as the master bed (also a Saint Sabin original). There is a cozy leather love seat that complements all of the other French antique wood furnishings. The room is intimately lit with unique locally hand-crafted table and floor lamps. Original prints from one of Paris’ most noted photographers adorn the walls.
Overlooking the courtyard, the master bedroom, boasts a custom-built queen-sized bed dressed with plush bed linens and four huge built-in drawers in its base. A full size antique armoire provides ample space for hanging clothes, as well as shelving. As this and the second bedroom are located on the courtyard side, your Parisian dreams will never be interrupted by the bustle of Boulevard Beaumarchais.
A hallway off the living room connects the second bedroom with the bathroom, giving it an “en-suite” feeling. The bedroom features a full-sized bed, a small desk, bookshelves, another antique armoire and closets. It has the feeling of a Paris writer’s retreat.
The bright and luxurious bathroom has been completely renovated to combine every modern convenience with an “old Paris” feeling using the highest quality period fixtures and gleaming white “Métro” tiles. The main bathroom sink is solidly traditional and spacious with a full glass shower, with rainfall shower head as well as a smaller traditional shower head. The wall-mounted, heated towel rack ensures that you will never be cold when stepping out of the shower to towels that are warm and fluffy.
Your favorite programming can be viewed on the large flat screen high-definition television and if you're in for the evening, you may cozy up to a movie or listen to Edith Piaf on the combination DVD/CD player. Cable HDTV allows you to watch over 100 channels, including several in English such as CNN and BBC World. The apartment comes with a private WiFi signal and unlimited free telephone calls to over 100 countries, including the U.S., U.K., Canada and Australia. These services as well as all linens are included in the rental rate.
As an added bonus, stay close to family and friends by renting La Musique, which is in the same building complex, just across the courtyard! How convenient is that?

As a family, we had a great time in Paris on our vacation this year. We loved Paris and felt that La Rose du Marais was a fantastic place for us. It was home away from home for us. Very comfortable with all the room we needed for a family of four. The wireless internet connection was really useful for us to research and plan our daily travels. The location was perfect with such easy access to the Paris Métro and easy walks through great neighborhoods. I especially loved going out in the morning to get croissant au chocolat so they would be there for the family when they awoke. I'm sure we saw most of the big Paris attractions but there is so much to see and do in your world class city I'm sure we'll be back someday. One highlight for us, on our very first day, we signed up for a bike tour with Fat Tire Bike Tours. We met beneath La Tour Eiffel, got our bikes, and then rode eight miles around Paris. This was a great way to stretch our legs after long flights and layovers and we got a street level orientation to the city and the sights of Paris. The tour included a night ride on Bateaux Mouche as well. It ended just in time to see La Tour Eiffel sparkle.

The apartment was great. I especially appreciated the Wi-Fi and the international telephone. Also, the building was quiet and well maintained. The apartment had all the conveniences, more than I had expected. And the location is excellent. I had quick access to bus and Métro, not to mention walking through the Marais.William L., Philadelphia PA
As our last days draw near, we wanted to say we have enjoyed the apartment, especially after the long cold days of strolling around Paris. It is a good location, roomy and all the facilities work fine.

Let me begin by telling you that our trip to Paris was a once in a lifetime vacation. We enjoyed the city itself, our neighborhood in particular, and our apartment most of all! The apartment is beautiful and beautifully appointed, we had everything we needed to make it our home away from home and our family gathering place. We cannot thank you enough for being our competent, efficient, and super friendly Paris contact. Everything work out perfectly, from Andy's taxi service (Marc was delightful), to the neighborhood markets that we found and the central location of the apartment. And it made us so happy that the apartment was available after we left so that our family could continue to enjoy. Thank you for making those arrangements. We are already dreaming of our return to Paris and our Paris apartment and would freely recommend "Parler Paris Apartments" and you in particular to anyone traveling to your beautiful city.

Your service was first class. Thank you for a hassle-free vacation in a well-appointed, roomy and comfortable apartment. The location of La Rose du Marais is its first selling point, in the midst of the charming and vibrant Marais district. Yet it is also a quiet apartment, being at the back of the apartment block abutting a peaceful laneway. The apartment itself welcomes you the minute you step inside, chic and cozy in its decor, and with ample living room for an inner-city two-bedroom apartment. You are welcomed with freshly-ground coffee in the pantry, a well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and good instructions to help you settle effortlessly into your paris home for your vacation. We would return to la rose du marais without hesitation.

Our family had the pleasure of renting La Rose du Marais from December 30th to January 2nd. The apartment was beautiful and very well equipped to meet all our needs. The quartier was also lovely and we had a wonderful time during our visit. Thank you to everyone involved in arranging the rental, especially John, and Jennifer who was kind enough to meet us upon our arrival to provide keys to the apartment. We will be happy to promote your services to all our Canadian students, friends and family who are planning trips to Paris in the future

The moment we stepped into La Rose du Marais, we knew we had made an incredible choice for where to stay in Paris. This apartment's invitingly warm decor and large rooms made living with five people extremely comfortable. From the floor to ceiling ironwork in the foyer to the gorgeous armoires in the bedrooms, we were surrounded by beauty. Although the streets of Paris called to us each day, we were often drawn back to "La Rose" to relax in its warmth and charm. The day we left, we truly felt we were leaving our home in Paris.
