Rue de Poitou, 3rd Arrondissement, Le Marais, One-Bedroom, Sleeps up to 4
As seen on House Hunters International! Episode "A Taste For Paris" - Episode HHINT-6801ZH
On the third floor of an 18th-century building in a great Marais location rue de Poitou, La Fleur de Poitou has been fully transformed into a regal home away from home. Renovated from stem to stern in 2011 by Interior Architect Martine di Mattéo, the apartment is a colorful and shining example of what is possible when good taste and savoir faire are combined.
The apartment is comprised of two rooms and a bathroom. The large main room includes the kitchen, dining area and living room, while the second piece is the bedroom. Original beams are exposed and give a stirring sense of Paris as it once was. Large windows in the living room and bedroom overlook the street corner and send bright beams of light into the apartment all day long.
The open kitchen backsplash is a masterpiece of hand-laid tile, created by Mosaïste Véronique Husson. It is well equipped -- with full sized oven, two burner stove, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, washer/dryer combination, coffee maker, electric kettle and toaster. Overhead cupboards, some with glass doors, and a separate chest of drawers, contain all of the dishes, utensils, cooking implements, pots and pans that you will need to cook up any gourmet meal.
Central in the main salon is a round dining table that seats four people on plush violet velvet chairs. Overtop of the table is an eye-catching globe-shaped iron light fixture.
The inviting living room is where the purple-themed color scheme is most prominent. Against the deep purple wall sits a suede three-person sofa that pulls out to become a queen-size bed and is flanked by two end tables and their lamps. On the wall above the sofa is an original painting by local Paris artist, Pascal Amblard. There is a small coffee table in front and an easy chair to the right, between the two large windows. All of the apartment’s windows have been dressed with beautiful draperies, hand-made from sumptuous fabrics.
Opposite the sofa is the entertainment center with flat screen TV, DVD player and the cable box/server, which provides over 150 TV channels and over 11,000 (preloaded) songs for your listening pleasure.
From the living room one passes into the bedroom with its queen-size bed that can be made up as twins. The bed is surrounded by storage closets so you’ll easily be able to stow away your possessions to make you feel right at home. All of the linens and towels are provided and are of high quality.
Finally, the bathroom is yet another masterpiece of mosaic tile The sink, vanity and shower have all been beautifully hand-tiled, all with the flower pattern that gives the apartment its name – La Fleur de Poitou.Included with the apartment is WiFi and free telephone with answering machine. Long-distance calls to land lines in over 100 countries are free. This extends to calls to cell phones in France, the US and Canada.

The apartment is on the 3rd (4th) floor of a nice old building. Climbing the original, circular stairs with luggage may be challenging for some but we're walkers so we were fine. Plus, we liked being up off of the street - less noise and nice breezes. The kitchen was well supplied - dishwasher, dorm size fridge, stove, combo washer/dryer and the small appliances you'd expect. Plenty of glassware, utensils & dishes. Bathroom was very clean and large for a small apartment. Nice quality & plentiful linens for bed & bath. Nice room darkening drapes on the windows. Lots of light, both from the large windows and interior lighting. Free telephone, WiFi and several plug adapters provided. Everything was Clean and working. We had some travel challenges getting to Paris and the management team was very responsive and helpful. We were very comfortable here.

Loved staying in this apartment. The Marais district was perfect...allowing us to live like locals but still be within walking distance of the places we wanted to visit.

A truly fantastic apartment. Ideally located, beautiful accommodations, all amenities provided and plenty of space. We would definitely return to this apartment.

We found the apartment to be well situated and very well appointed. In our travels, we typically stay at vacation rentals as opposed to hotels. This adorable apartment did impress! Although we brought items such as coffee, soap, laundry and dish soaps, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the apartment was already stocked. The additional touches such as the umbrella and travel books came in very handy. The bedding and pillows were of wonderful quality. As for the location...we LOVED THE MARAIS! We literally walked everywhere, including the Eiffel Tower a couple of times, but you definitely need good walking shoes in Paris. The proximity to the Louvre and Notre Dame was very convenient. The neighborhood is filled with lovely little clothing and jewelry boutiques with unique designs from up and coming designers. The best part was falling into a little routine each evening of walking to the boulangerie, pattiserie, formagerie and fruit markets for an evening treat and breakfast for the next morning. You could find everything you need on rue de Bretagne (just up the block). It is worthwhile to get up early in the morning and go for a stroll while the streets are quiet, when you can really appreciate the city and the peaceful feeling that falls over it in the morning.

We were genuinely pleased with the entire process. Working with you and Parler Paris Apartments was straightforward, efficient and the Concierge who greeted us at the apartment was excellent. The apartment was exactly as advertised and more. We appreciated the attention to detail, such as having power strips and adapters, instructions, coffee, dish soap, extra batteries...everything we needed. The sheets, linens, towels etc.. were high quality and comfortable. We really had a great experience overall and I honestly can't say anything negative.

Our stay was terrific. The apartment was cozy, beautiful and clean! Everything we needed was available. The neighborhood can't be beat.

We stayed as a family of four in this apartment and could not have been happier. The building is extremely safe, was quiet so the kids slept beautifully, and is near a very nice market (Marché des Enfants Rouge). We loved that it was far enough out that we had peace and safety, but close enough that the whole family easily walked to many of the main attractions. Our children (3 and 7) loved the views, and had no issue climbing the stairs. This apartment was run by a top notch company, Parler Paris Apartments. We were pleased with our entire stay, and would gladly stay again.

What a wonderful apartment -- and great location. Love your city and hope to be back soon. This apartment was delightful, purple is my favorite color!

Thank you so much for a great week in Paris. Fleur de Poitou served as a perfect home base for us. Loved the apartment and the neighborhood.
A truly beautiful apartment...exceeded our expectations of an apartment in Paris. Location was fabulous, as it was 1 block away from Rue de Bretagne, where the open air market is. We would consider this exact apartment again.

We loved the apartment, and we found it very warm and comfortable, but also very stylish and modern---very well put together. Having all of the amenities available was perfect. We were very sad when the day came that we had to leave. Also, having that high-quality lock on the door made us feel very secure---a really great feature. Also, having those little extra items like tape, umbrellas, etc. were a nice touch. A really amazing find in Paris, and we were delighted with it.

We enjoyed staying at La Fleur de Poitou during our vacation in Paris. It is a beautiful apartment and met all our needs. Nice location with everything we needed within a few minutes walk. Our Concierge was very nice and helpful. Will recommend it to friends who may visit!

The apartment is every bit as beautiful as the Web page. All the amenities, the washer/dryer, stove/oven, beautiful bathroom, lovely decor, purple being my favorite color. The all inclusive instruction manual was very thorough and helpful. The location worked for us as our sister was only a 15minute walk away, and the Métro station about 10 minutes. We used the kitchen for several meals, very user friendly. With a produce stand and grocery very close by. We walked home many times aound midnight and never were concerned, great neighborhood. We went shopping one morning close by, please note a lot of the shops are for wholesalers, not for the tourist. Thank you so very much, thanks to you our second week in paris was splendid.

The Fleur de Poitous is a real find! The apartment was fresh, clean and new, and had all the amenities we could need. It was nice also to have the bed in a different room so there was privacy. The Marais District is the perfect place to stay because it is a real neighborhood where you could escape from the hustle and bustle of Paris. We loved every minute of our stay! We will be back!
