Being a French native and having lived in Paris in the past, I chose this rental based on the central location. The apartment, though small, met our needs very well and gave us a great "base" from which to explore the city. You can literally walk anywhere from this location: the Musee d'Orsay (just around the corner), the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the Marais, Saint Germain des Pres, les Tuileries,... If your feet get tired, you can also very easily hop on the Métro (Solferino station on Line 1). Also, there are many wonderful bakeries (e.g., Eric Kayser at the end of the block), cafes, brasseries, and creperies within walking distance which makes picking a place to eat an easy "chore."
A small, quiet, tastfully decorated one-bedroom apartment in a fabulous location – just down the street from a fine bakery; close to a large grocery store for essential supplies; within comfortable walking distance on many fine restaurants, great shopping and tourist activities. The apartment is laid out in a straight line in three main rooms – a large bathroom with shower, bath and heated towel rack; a functional kitchen (fridge / oven / microwave / dish washer / kettle) and sitting area which comfortably accommodates two for “dinner in” when this option is chosen; a bedroom with a comfortable double bed and view over a quiet courtyard looking through to Rue de l’Universite. We were very pleased with the supplies provided: ample paper towel, toilet paper, tissues, dish washer pucks etc. plus the quality and quantity of towels and linens was very good. Renting Maison d’Orsay was a pleasant and positive experience and we hope to it again!

Having never traveled outside the US, I was nervous about renting an apartment on my first European adventure. If you have similar concerns, Parler Paris Apartments is the rental company and La Maison D'Orsay is the apartment for you! All of our questions were answered via email within hours. We were met at the apartment by Shannon who was professional, courteous, and extremely helpful. We received a complete tour of the apartment, with a review of all appliances, WiFi access was set up for us, and we were given a wonderful description of the neighborhood amenities. The apartment is exactly as described- but more! Many of the items that we had brought were already provided- umbrellas, converters, a laptop computer, coffee for the Nespresso machine, robes, hair dryer, even cotton balls and Q-tips. The apartment is immaculate, beautifully decorated and well maintained. The pictures in the listing portray it exactly. The neighborhood is safe, quaint, and the location cannot be beaten. On this block there is a wonderful bakery where we got breakfast every day, an organic gourmet shop, a chocolate shop, and several restaurants. There was a "street party" on Thursday night with a red carpet running the full length of the street! The party was delightful, but you could not hear a sound from inside the apartment. The Musee d'Orsay is a block away, as is a Métro station. The Seine is just across the road from the museum. The walk to the Louvre is short, but lovely. There is an abundance of small shops specializing in antiques, books, and handbags within a block of the apartment. The Monoprix grocery store is also very close. I have already written friends to recommend this apartment for their future trips to Paris. Our intent was to experience Paris as Parisians, not tourists, and this listing fit the bill perfectly. If we are fortunate enough to return to Paris, this is where I will stay!

The apartment was just right, but even better, the service we received from Parler Paris Apartments was prompt and attentive.

The apartment was nicely decorated, clean, and just the right size for two or three people. All the appliances worked well and there was a very clear booklet explaining use of all of them which was very helpful. It couldn't have been more centrally located, being just steps from the D'Orsay Museum. It was a long walk to the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe and Notre Dame. In other words, all of central Paris is a walk away. It is next door to a wonderful restaurant and a hop skip and jump away from a great bakery and cheese shop, so baguettes were a daily experience. Parler Paris Apartments couldn't have been more accommodating. Very nice people who went out of their way to make our experience the best it could be. They even delayed check out-clean up so we could enjoy our last minutes in Paris! I can't wait to come back to Paris and stay right here again.

Beautiful and Outstanding in Every Way!!! We just returned from three glorious nights at La Maison D'Orsay and would highly recommend it to anyone interested in a trip of a lifetime to Paris. The newly renovated flat has it all! The building was so bright, quiet, safe, elegant…we could not stop smiling. It is better than the Web site's description, by far. Parler Paris' staff had arranged for a concierge to meet us and provide a full orientation and welcome to the great neighborhood. We love this agency and would highly recommend them to anyone planning a trip to France. We rented two properties through them on this trip and also had friends who rented another Parler Paris Apartment close to us -- no hidden costs. They were thrilled, too. Our flat had it all - It was sparkling clean with a large modern bathroom with a huge tub and rain shower, heated towel rack, new washer/dryer, dishwasher, Nespresso machine with many supplies, secure entry, bar with stools, huge windows that open, free phone calls to North America and beyond, great Wi-Fi, a separate bedroom, change area with many closets, hidden flats-creen TV and DVD, Bose player for our Edith Piaf CD, super comfortable bed, large comfy white leather pull-out sofa in the living room…etc. The neighbors were warm and friendly. The street is amazing and 20 feet outside the front door is the most romantic and delicious Indian restaurant (Ravi) we have ever been to. It is dimly lit and small - no more than 20-24 seats. The Sancerre wine, tandoori prawns and butter chicken were all mouth watering. Great service too. Right next door is a quiet bar/restaurant, and on the same block are two wine shops, corner store, chocolaterie, boulangerie on the corner and restaurants on rue du Bac galore. Apparently, the French Prime Minister lives close by and on our first night walking home from dinner, we saw Karl Lagerfeld on our street! We gave him his space and pretended not too look. :-) It took us less than five minutes to walk to the Musée d'Orsay to see Van Gogh's works and only another five to cross the bridge to the Louvre to see Mona Lisa. The 69 bus took us straight to our friend's apartment rental in Le Marais. We could walk to the jazz bars in St-Germain-des-Prés with ease. The Monoprix grocery store is amazing and only two blocks away. The subway stop is Rue du Bac (close by). Note: we did alot of research prior to booking two apartments with Parler Paris. They had a good reputation and I liked that the rental prices were ALL inclusive. All around, a wonderful experience! Thank you so much Parler Paris Apartments!

I have just returned from three fabulous weeks in France, which started with a magic week in Paris. The moment I turned the key into my new "home" at La Maison d'Orsay the tone was set. The apartment is compact but well designed and equipped with all one should need to enjoy a very comfortable stay. The bed was very comfortable, with crisp white linen and my temporary "flat mate" found the pull down couch quite adequate. It was a great convenience to have a washer/dryer which was cleverly stacked in the lovely bathroom. The modern kitchen had everything down to candles for dinner and a champagne bucket. I shouldn't forget to mention that the location of La Maison d'Orsay is also perfect!! -- close to the Métro, if indeed one chose to use it in preference to walking through Paris's beautiful streets. I can't think of anything that was missing... not only do I recommend La Maison d'Orsay ( and Parler Paris Aptartments) but I will be booking to go back as soon as I can!

The apartment was wonderful. We were pleased with the décor and the amount of storage space. The amenities exceeded our expectations.

I wanted to let you know that we were 100% happy with the apartment! The location couldn't have been better, the apartment was not only very clean, but also a really nice space. To have your own washer and dryer in France was a real luxury! I would recommend staying at this apartment to anyone. The Concierge was really great meeting us at the apartment and showing us around. I really appreciated her meeting us there to show us this great place! We will definitely rent this apartment again on our next visit to Paris.
Thanks again, Randy S., Chicago, IL
The stay was great –- we really loved the apartment and were especially pleased with the high quality fixtures including linens, towels, knives, dishes and pots and pans. I also really appreciated that some basics were already in the apartment like dish and laundry detergent, salt and pepper and some basic spices and olive oil.
