One minute the sky was blue and the sun shining brightly; the next minute dark and pouring rain. It's any wonder that the meeting got off to a late start and most of the attendees didn't arrive until well into the first hour. We had lots of newcomers this time! --
Adrian McGinn, a Dubliner who has lived in Paris many years, being transferred here by his company then branching out on his own as Business Coach and Mentor. He clearly loves Paris.
Jeanine Potter and I have had ongoing email correspondence for a while now, but she finally had an opportunity to attend. In the midst of renovating two apartments she owns in the 1st district, she's a jewelry designer and interior designer with a passion for Paris along with her two centrally located apartments that have been rented on the long term until now.
Frank and Judi Hollands were 'dragged' to Après Midi by their friends, Mary and Ted Johnson. Mary and Ted are long-time subscribers to Parler Paris, both retired French professors from Laurence, Kansas. They come every year and make a special effort to visit with us each time, while taking in the arts, architecture, sculpture, opera and just strolling through the streets. Frank and Judi are loving their vacation, discovering the markets and French restaurants.
Martine Safars came along with Antonio Meza, a partner in PSI Communications. She's French born to Belgian/Argentinean parents, lived all over the world and speaks too many languages to count. She's working with him now, providing workshops and seminars to teach effective communications skills.
Mary Ellen Gallagher, our own "Search Engine," was there with her usual big smile. And of course, Patricia Laplante Collins, with pup Eve in tow, wouldn't miss a single gathering! Plan on attending her upcoming Sunday evening soirées...http://www.parissoirees.com/ for more information.
