Martine di Mattéo, our Paris-born associate Interior Designer and Consultant developed her talents at an early age thanks to an eclectic, sophisticated, cultured, and fascinating home-life with a French mother and Egyptian/French father. At the age of 19 she followed her dreams and a scholarship to study in San Francisco at the College of Marin focusing on art and design. It was here she later joined Macy’s department stores as the Director of Visual Merchandise for their downtown store.
Twenty years later she returned to France to work as Visual Director for Disneyland Paris’ theme park, hotels, and retail outlets. In 2006 she attended the prestigious art school Ecole Boulle to immerse herself in the heart of French interior design style and culture and ultimately to create her own business as an interior designer and as a consultant for both residential and retail projects. It was at that time she was introduced to Adrian Leeds and the projects of Adrian Leeds Group clients seeking renovation and decoration in a typically French style, but with the comfort and functionality of America.
From that point forward, she has been the foundation for the luxuriousness and visual appeal of Adrian Leeds Group apartment offerings. Having worked with dozens of clients, she has turned their newly-purchased, but often drab apartments into warm, welcoming homes-away-from-homes as well as into being fabulous showplaces of which the owners can be very proud. As a result, her fame rapidly grew and has been featured in articles in magazines such Prima Maison and House Chic.
In addition, she’s been presented as the “interior designer extraordinaire” by the US TV program House Hunters International on the HGTV network in many episodes alongside Adrian Leeds.
Whether shabby chic, contemporary, eclectic or urban Parisian in style, Martine strives to create spaces where the French “art de vivre” joins practical refinement. She seeks style and soul, guides her clients to express their dreams, and leads them towards the essence of their goals. She aims with passion to achieve the absolute best in interior design.
Martine continues to experience creative growth and artistic freedom. She is right where she wants to be—living the life she has always imagined, designing beautiful spaces for her clients.
