This stunning apartment sits tucked away on an historic and quiet "cul de sac," making it an oasis of peace and calm. This second floor apartment (two flights), has two large bright windows that face a classic Parisian courtyard. With digicode, intercom entry system and elevator, it has been completely newly renovated and professionally decorated to the height of luxury, with a soothing "aubergine" (eggplant) and taupe color scheme. Everything in the apartment is new, from the designer linens and towels, to the appliances and electronics.
This is a power-packed week of activity, so be prepared to be on fire! It's THE WEEK of the year in Paris and all of France, thanks to Bastille Day events and the beginning of the summer vacation period.

FOR EARLY RISERS, DON'T MISS THE MILITARY PARADE ON JULY 14TH!
To get the French national holiday off to a resounding start, as it has since 1880, trumpets and bugles will herald the arrival of the President of the French Republic at the top of the world’s most beautiful avenue for the annual military parade composed of mounted, mounted, motorized and aerial units. It all starts on the Avenue des Champs-Élysées from Place de l'Étoile to the Place de la Concorde where the soldiers salute the President of the Republic, the principal authorities of the State, the diplomatic corps and sometimes foreign political personalities...this year including U.S. President Donald Trump.
COME FOR MUSIC AND FIREWORKS AT THE EIFFEL TOWER: PARIS AND THE OLYMPIC GAMES
Orchestre National de Paris
There's nothing as exciting as seeing the fireworks from the Champ de Mars. Almost every year I picnic there having found the perfect spot from which to see the fireworks silhouetted against the tower. "This year promises another dazzling spectacle with choreographed multi-colored fireworks bursting open against the backdrop of the Parisian night sky."
Last year, we opted to find another spot nearby at Place des Invalides in lieu of battling the security entrance. I must assume the same will happen this year, greatly reducing the numbers that fill the grassy area.
This year the show is built around the theme of the Olympic Games of 2024, for which the city of Paris is fighting to win the bid! "Through a dozen frescoes, the Iron Lady will invite us to discover her city and share with us the values of France, Paris and Olympism."
It all starts with music by the Orchestre National de France that will be broadcast live on France 2 at 9 p.m. with fireworks beginning at 11 p.m...well worth the wait!
The spot I like the most is just south of center...maybe you'll see me there!?
P.S. Après Midi--the last before our summer break--is TOMORROW. Craig Carlson, Restaurateur and Author, will make a presentation about how his restaurant Breakfast in America and his book “Pancakes in Paris” came to be. Don't miss it!
