In
the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Le Buci is in the
perfect location to enjoy one of Paris’ most sought after
locations. Upon entering the building it is immediately clear
that this one is special. Completely restored and renovated, the
common areas boast exposed stone walls and centuries old beams,
beautifully illuminated with modern lighting. The anachronistic,
modern glass elevator juxtaposes rather well with older parts
of the building and waits to take you up to your Paris home.
The
newly renovated apartment is every bit as stylish as its surroundings.
From the entranceway, a hallway leads first to a bathroom with
combined tub/rainfall shower, sink and toilet. Modern and elegant
fixtures, a stone counter and a large mirror, make this room shine.
Continuing
down the hallway one comes to the main part of the apartment.
To the immediate left is a large closet with hanging space. Just
past this is the kitchen area with refrigerator, two burner ceramic
stove, full sized oven, microwave and several other small appliances
that will allow you to be self-sustaining for as long as you need
to be. The apartment is well equipped with dishes and glassware
as well as utensils and cooking implements.
Opposite
the kitchen is the sleeping area, with its inviting King sized
bed which can be converted to two twins. The bed is adorned with
luxury fabrics and ample pillows. Surrounding the head of the
bed is built in cabinetry, which will mean that you will never
have storage issues.
The
entertainment center with flat screen TV and DVD player can be
enjoyed from the bed or from the comfortable sofa on the opposite
wall from the bed. There are over one hundred channels available,
several of them in English.
Included
in your rental rate is high speed wireless internet and unlimited
free phone calls to over 50 countries, including cell phones in
the US and Canada.
For
your dining pleasure, there is a table for two in the corner of
the apartment beside an antique mirrored divider. The plush Louis
XV chairs will allow you to comfortably linger over meals.
The
apartment has two large windows through which the sun shines,
and is equipped with blackout curtains to allow you a very dark
sleeping environment if so desired.
The Area Around Le Buci:
Saint-Germain-des-Prés
is one of the city's most sought-after district by North American
visitors. Centered around the church of the former Abbey of Saint-Germain-des-Prés,
it is home to a number of famous cafés, such as Les Deux
Magots, Brasserie Lipp and Café de Flore and was the center
of the existentialist movement, associated with Jean-Paul Sartre
and Simone de Beauvoir. From this part of the 6th arrondissement,
most of Paris' most important sights are within walking distance.
Just
around the corner is the Benedictine Abbey of Saint-Germain-des-Prés,
which at one time was just beyond the outskirts of early medieval
Paris, and was the burial place of Merovingian kings of Nutria.
Le Buci is situated between rues Buci and l'Echaudé, once
the Porte Buci and entry door of the Abbey. Rues de Buci and Seine,
a few steps away, are two of the district's primary market and
gathering places, with cafés, restaurants, shops and fresh
food markets in abundance.
Designer
shops are within steps of the apartment -- Louis Vuitton, Dior,
Armani and Sonya Rykiel are at home here, to name just a few.
Many of the city's finest art galleries line the nearby Left Bank
streets. Just one block from the apartment is an olympic-size
indoor public swimming pool (at 12, rue Lobineau) and you are
just two blocks from the River Seine to easily cross to the Right
Bank.
The
district is every visitor's dream -- with everything you could
ever need or desire within reach...the city of Paris and all its
best entertainment at your doorstep.

We are packing today with great sadness as we are about to leave this magnificent city of yours. Our stay has been glorious in all aspects and a large part of that was the apartment. The perfect location, the perfect amenities and charm of the apartment's design and conveniences. And your wonderful attention to our every request. Took us a while to get into the swing of things and FINALLY, to leave you alone with our requests, but you were gracious the whole while. Many many thanks for all your kind attention. We have told many of our friends about this spot and will definitely be back ourselves within the year. When we return to NY, we will start to block out dates for our return and will contact you again in a couple of months. Be well in this grand and lovely city, and we will always be grateful for the many sensational memories of which you were a part.

We
truly enjoyed our stay in Paris. Not only this area is a privileged
one but also the atmosphere is excellent! We loved coming to this
beautiful, lovely and extremely comfortable apartment after a
long day of touring the city. It exceeded our expectations! We
will definitely come back to stay here.

We totally enjoyed our stay in Le Buci. There was everything we
needed and we felt comfortable and at home. Were it not for the
gasoline/ petrol shortages, we would have stayed in France longer
and traveled the country side. Thank you for making our stay on
Paris a memorable occasion.

Très
