of September 14, 2010

It was another gorgeous September day when so many newcomers sauntered in to say hello and meet new friends.
Gerry and Marilyn Landy from Chicago said they came to "breathe in Paris" and have loved the last 14 days they've had in the city.
Roger Roberson's mother, Sharon, is a regular, but this was his first time. He's here on vacation, but following up on leads to live and work here, plus improve his language skills.
Anna-Elisabeth Nyssen is a newly retired German having worked in Human Resources and contemporary art for the last 8.5 years, but is now a cranio/sacral/jascias therapist.
Ed Jennings has lived in Paris 7 years after having attended a Living and Investing in France Conference and is re-inventing himself now as a super handyman doing technical help and small household repairs.
Thibault Worth grew up in the U.S. with a French mother and has been living here since March. Lucky Thibault -- his mother has owned an apartment in the 6th arrondissement since 1984 and he'd like to pursue a career in the rental real estate market.
Joanna Gilbert-Sparks lives outside Paris in La Perche-Orne and also wants to pursue a career in real estate.
Nancy Morgan, from New Orleans, brought tears to my eyes, as she told me about the Francophile community in my home town. She's here for three months and always enjoys Paris, as she made sure to not.
With her was Louise Dazet Bréant, another New Orleanian living in Paris the last 15 years with a French national and working at the Foreign Exchange office.
Andy and Robbie Girant are retired and always wanted to live in Paris full time. They're working on it.
Jane Halgren didn't say much about herself, but did share her love of the newsletter.
Neil Young was dragged along by girlfriend, Maxine Schur, long time friend and well-known author from San Francisco. He's trying to understand what his love loves so.""
Among those whose faces we see from time to time were Alexandra Levie and Erwin Petri are back again as they are every year for several months and are staying in one of the Parler Paris Apartments.
Patricia Laplante Collins left pup Eve at home, but is still hosting her wonderful Sunday evening networking meetings at Paris Soirées. She rarely misses a meeting and should win the award for loyalty!
Mary Louise Sillman brought some of her loveliest jewelry incuding little reinston encrusted "escargots" brooches. I just had to have one! She had her jewelry all set up for sale on the center table -- an opportunity for all of us before she sells it all off. Anyone interested in purchasing beads and display items...enough with which to start a business -- contact us.
Kristin Shannon and Antonio Meza with PSI Communications were there with a brochure of their latest workshops. To learn more about them, visit www.FrenchPropertyConference.com.
Florence Richburg, 'Assistante Extraordinaire' popped in with her big bright smile making everyone feel at home.
As usual, a good time was had by all and many will be back for the next gathering on October 12th.
