This is your opportunity to meet every month, often with local professionals who can answer your Living and Investing in France questions. You are invited to come for drinks and share your questions and comments about what it takes to create a life here, own property and enjoy what France has to offer. It is also an opportunity to network with other Parler Paris readers.

*Special Note: Anyone attending Parler Paris Après Midi must be willing to have their photograph taken and a brief description written about them for publishing in Parler Paris. Your presence indicates your willingness to participate.

The national strike was in full force, but a loyal group of regulars and occasionals came to connect with other readers. As people were arriving, I tested out my new MacBook Air which has been programmed to easily access files from a home-based computer as long as it is connected to the Internet, while Gail Aboudara, one of the owners of "Le Palace des Vosges" was also logging on to get her mail, frustrated from a several-day-long Numericable outage in the district. (Don't you just love technology?)

Thibault Worth dropped in again. He grew up in the U.S. with a French mother and has been living here since March, is pursuing his journalism career and trying to make a go of living in Paris with his wife, a PR professional.

Alexandra Levie and Erwin Petri, who are staying in one of the Parler Paris Apartments, have an opportunity to attend a few during their three month stay.

Eva Marsh Ferziger is one of our regular visitors, as long as she's in Paris.

Nancy J. Caldwell comes at least once a year for a few weeks, this year to launch her new workshop: Introduction to Creating Your Own Healing Mandalas. For more information, email Nancy at [email protected]

Jane Stiller is a long time Paris lover and comes several times a year. She's taking lessons at Lutèce Langue, improving little by little.

Jack is Back. Jack Lampert, that is. He's thinking of changing his name to Zgi Lambert. (Joking!)

Sandra Fuenterosa, opera singer, voice and language teacher, is looking for a studio apartment in which to live. If you know of one reasonably priced in Paris email her at [email protected]

It was a surprise to see Linda Stevens, an architect researching an obscure 19th-century architect and still dreaming of living here.

Alexis Niki, a screenwriter, filmmaker and Alexander Technique teacher just completed a web series called " My Bitchy Witchy Paris Vacation." You can watch the first episode now on bitchywitchythefilm.com.

Florence Richburg, 'Assistante Extraordinaire' is always a pleasure to have around and funny as usual -- asking us if the Mayor of Paris was going to speak in...French?!
