FYI’s new original series, “Tiny House World,” celebrates the global trend of extreme downsizing and tiny living. The series joins the network’s break-out franchise hits, “Tiny House Nation” and “Tiny House Hunting.” Sixteen half-hour episodes are set to premiere beginning Saturday, November 21 at 10pm ET.
The first episode of Tiny House World to air in it’s history features Adrian with her niece, Shari, as her client and her daughter, Erica, as Shari’s companion in their search for the perfect tiny apartment in Paris! It’s a family affair not to be missed… [although the Tiny House World series premiered on November 21, they’ve moved our Paris episode to Saturday, December 5th in response to the terrorist attacks in Paris.]
“FYI was the first network to spotlight the tiny living craze and we’re excited to now expand our successful franchise globally,” said Gena McCarthy, Senior Vice President, Programming and Development, FYI. Each episode of “Tiny House World” features a prospective homeowner looking to find the ideal mini-dream home in locations as diverse as Paris, France, Sydney, Australia, and Dublin, Ireland. With three homes to choose from, buyers will find that picking the perfect small space, that best fits their budget and desires, is no easy feat — even in the most exotic and exciting locations.
Small in stature, the homes are often big on ingenuity and design. Still, the challenges of finding the perfect home abroad loom as large as any real estate hunt in the U.S. Viewers will see how the trend of tiny living has taken shape in other areas of the world and learn how different cultures approach design difficulties, space limitations and more.
