A Champagne Toast to 2013 at the Hôtel de Vile

Last night at the Hôtel de Ville (City Hall), Mayor Bertrand Delonoë welcomed a select group of city officials and illustrious citizens to a bright new year and all that is set out before us in the city of Paris for 2013. With the mayors of the districts, his deputies and other city officials at his side on the podium, he made a relatively brief speech, with no text in hand, to describe his intentions for 2013.

At the forefront of his delivery was his support of new start-up companies, small businesses and creative innovation. Second to this goal to increase business and employment, he brought attention to the efforts to create more and affordable housing for Paris residents. In conclusion, he reminded us of all the public cultural events the city has created and supported.

He’s a dynamic and natural speaker holding everyone’s attention in the palm of his hand. With a “Bonne Année” and a final applause, he stepped off the podium and greeted just about everyone with a handshake and a few words.

It was fortunate to have a front-row seat for the event. After chatting with Laurent Queige (Directeur de cabinet de Jean-Bernard BROS, adjoint au Maire de Paris), meeting a few VIPs such as the General Coordinator of “Paris Capitale de la Création,” and saying a fond hello to M. Pierre Aidenbaum, Mayor of the 3rd Arrondissement, champagne was poured, hors d’oeuvres were served and off we all went to our respective evenings.

24-1-13BPIBPI Announces the Lowest Mortgage Rates Ever!

Banque Patrimoine et Immobilier, one of our top French lenders, just announced new low interest rates on their best loan products. Applicable from Janu
ary 23rd, you can now borrow up to 2 million euros (or as little as 100,000 euros) with as little as 2.3% interest:

– SOLEIL (variable): 2.40%; E3m + 2% – SAPHIR (variable with cap +2% – repayment*): from 2.30% – DIAMOND! INTEREST ONLY CAPPED (variable + capped = 2% during the interest only period – 100% LTV (30% in an investment vehicle) – RAINBOW– 10 YEARS FIXED(classic fixed rate – repayment*): 2.80%

BPI welcomes and finances residents of the EEC, South America, North America, Australia, New Zealand, Hong-Kong, Singapore, South Africa, and individuals employed by large multinational companies in Russia, China, Middle East and expatriates.

BPI finances:

– Purchase of old/new property: main, secondary, buy-to-let – Purchase + refurbishing or works – Purchase of land + construction of individual property – Construction – Off plan (excluding leaseback) – Refinance of shareholders’ fund – Equity release (in certain cases; consult us) – not possible on main residence – Buy-out a co-owner (i.e. in the case of divorce…etc) – Post finance – Historical buildings – No Châteaux at present – Gîtes (please consult us)

BPI finances a loan-to-value of:

– 100% with side investment of 30% in different currencies – 80% for good profiles and well located properties – 75% for any other cases

There is the possibility to remove the penalties on early repayment with a 0.10% increase on the rate and on the margin: there will be no redemption penalties on at all (except for Rainbow and Diamond fixed) or absence of increase on the rate and margin: there will be no redemption penalties after 8 years* (except for Rainbow and Diamond fixed).

Preference Soleil and Preference Rainbow:

– These products are applicable to bridging loans, renovation, purchase + renovation and VEFA, construction – These products enable the client to repay a fixed amount for a maximum of 2 years by paying 30€ minimum/10.000€ borrowed. The accrued interests will be added to the capital. After 2 years, the client then repays the loan over a period of maximum 18 years.
