Escape to France 101
Have you been thinking seriously about moving to France? If so, you’re in very good company.
We may not have perfect government statistics showing exactly how many Americans want to leave the U.S. since Donald Trump was elected, but we do have mountains of evidence—from polling, search data, and our own day-to-day work—that the desire to relocate abroad is growing rapidly.
Recent Gallup polling shows record numbers of younger Americans dreaming of a life outside the U.S. Among women aged 15–44, roughly 40% say they would prefer to live elsewhere. One major survey found that 1 in 4 Americans are considering moving abroad due, at least in part, to U.S. politics. And immediately following the 2024 election, Google searches for “move abroad,” “move to Canada,” and “move to Australia” surged.
Even official expatriation figures—which represent only the tiny percentage who formally renounce citizenship—show a sharp increase, with 1,285 U.S. citizens expatriating in the first quarter of 2025 alone, up 102% from the previous quarter.
Interest is rising. Anxiety is rising. The desire for a different life is rising.
But here’s the important part:
We know exactly how many North Americans are actually moving to France—because we are the ones helping them do it.
Our client base has doubled each year for several years running. While national surveys skew young, our clients tend to be older people—retired or close to retirement—who can make the move and are ready to finally live the life they’ve imagined.
Almost every single one of them says:
“Get me out of here,”
or
“I’ve been dreaming about France for years. It’s time.”
And for them, the process begins with a consultation.
WHAT YOUR CONSULTATION INCLUDES
Most consultations take place on Zoom and last 90 minutes. Four of us lead them:
• Me
• Patty Sadauskas
• Jay Corless
• Willow Miller-Cornu
Each of us brings something unique:
Patty

More than 10 years with us. A logistics magician. She knows the administrative process inside and out and has answers for absolutely everything.
Jay

Our Paris rental strategist. Brilliant, calm, knowledgeable, and possibly the best apartment finder in the city. His clients adore him.
Willow

Half American, half French, and sharp as a tack. She can out-admin almost anyone and always knows how to find the right solution.
Me

I’m the most expensive of the four, and for good reason—I help you strategize at a higher level and see pathways you don’t yet know exist. I’m direct, honest, and known for “telling it like it is.” You don’t come to me for platitudes—you come for clarity and truth.
Here’s what one of our recent clients wrote about working with us:
“Adrian is a no-nonsense person who is ready to deal with any situation to help relocate Americans to France… Adrian Leeds Group handles all the issues that could arise when moving to another country. They have experts in place to take the worries off our shoulders… The process was simplified and demystified by the team, which made a frustrating process easy. Now we can look forward to our new life in Nice, France!”
We hear this again and again:
“I didn’t think it was possible…and now I’m living in France.”
