FOR SALE: Luxury “Birdnest” Studio in the Haut Marais!
Luxury “birdnest” studio in the Haut Marais!
Located at 50 rue Volta, 75003 Paris

I’ve personally known this apartment since the mid 2000s when one of my own search consultants fell in love with it, bought it and had it fully renovated by Martine di Mattéo. At the time, it was just a shell with no kitchen or bathroom! How the elderly gentleman who was living there managed like that was a mystery to all of us. While we aren’t sure what happened to him, the apartment had such potential that Mary Ellen scarfed it up and turned it into a jewel. In 2017, she left France to return to the U.S. and sold the apartment to the current owner who has loved it all these years, just like she had.

The apartment is located in the legendary and dynamic Arts et Métiers district in the 3rd arrondissement. Also known as the Haut Marais, where art reigns supreme: The Picasso Museum, the Museum of Arts and Crafts, and the National Archives Museum all exist within steps of the apartment. The neighborhood is also home to the Enfants Rouges market, a true Parisian institution and the oldest covered market in Paris from 1615. On rue Volta at number 3 is one of the three oldest buildings in the city, and in the heart of the oldest Chinatown in the capital. Place de la République is steps away, as is rue de Bretagne, the premier shopping street of Le Haut Marais.
Discover this beautifully renovated studio apartment, expertly styled by our renowned Interior Designer Martine di Mattéo, with a hand-painted mural by artist Pascal Amblard. Perched on the third floor, the space offers rooftop views and an abundance of natural light. Fully-furnished, with plenty of storage, and move-in ready, this thoughtfully designed gem combines modern comforts with timeless charm making it a perfect pied-à-terre or investment property.

I read about this lovely couple’s journey and was thrilled to see that your organization helped them! I’ve been following, enjoying and appreciating your knowledge and insights for many years and keeping my dream of living in France someday alive!
This pied-a-terre looks so scrumptious! Wish I were in a position to scarf it up too! It should not last very long.
Hi Adrian! Glad you are enjoying your visit with your daughter and your grandson. Was wondering if you could provide an update on your apartment situation? I can’t remember if you decided to sell your lovely apartment due to all of the repairs or if you decided to keep it and continue on with the repairs and your lawsuit with the HOA or syndic (?) as it is called.
Thank you! Adrian will be moving bak into her Paris apartment in August.
