Property Update for Living the Dream to Live in France Speaking Tour Attendees
It’s hard to believe it has already been a year since I met you all at the “Living the Dream to Live in France” Speaking Tour! It was such a pleasure to travel to Las Vegas, San Francisco, Seattle, Portland and Los Angeles to meet with you and talk about how you can fulfill your dream of living or investing in Paris and France. I hope that attending this presentation helped you realize this goal is absolutely achievable. In fact, event attendees just like you have already made it happen!
I’m writing today to give you an update on the property situation in Paris and France, and to tell you why now is such a good time to invest.
Better exchange rate
The euro rate of exchange has been a lot more favorable toward the dollar and that means the greenbacks are going to stretch a lot further next time you come to the City of Light (1€ = $1.33).
More Paris property for sale
Recently, there have been fewer Paris properties on the market, which means that apartments for sale were going fast. Thanks to the changing capital gains tax laws, between now and February 1, there will be a lot of property suddenly on the market – and that means bargains to be had. That also means it’s a great time to invest in a revenue-generating property – with Paris tourism up in 2011, why should the hotels get all the business? For more information on the changes to the capital gains tax laws, read French Property Insider.
Investing in Nice
Since our arrival on the Riviera scene and my reports on my Nice property purchase, there has been more interest by Parler Paris Nouvellettre® and French Property Insider readers in investing in Nice and environs where prices are about half of what they are in Paris. Our Property Search Consultant in Nice has been scouring the market for properties in central Nice that fit the bill for good investment, and has found some excellent properties. If you think Nice would be a nice investment option for you, please contact us.
Fractional Ownership – Le Palace des Vosges
If you can spend only a few weeks a year in Paris and don’t want to purchase, renovate and rent an apartment, fractional ownership is a smart option. Le Palace des Vosges is a rare find at the most elegant address in central Paris, Place des Vosges, a beautiful and luxurious property that allows you to enjoy a much larger apartment for a fraction of the price of purchasing one.
This exquisite property was recently featured in the stylish Maison Chic (France) and Casa Chic (Italy) magazines. Plus, it will be the backdrop for filming “Yours Truly” by Eurocinema On Demand and Seductively French. They are producing lifestyle segments celebrating the European way of life, designed to reach 36 million U.S. and Canadian television homes beginning December 2011, as well as airing in China on Metan Development Group’s Hello! with half a billion viewers.
There are still a few shares left, so if you are interested in owning part of this sophisticated property, please contact us.
And if you would like to discuss your personal situation and options for investing in Paris or France, I would be happy to book a consultation with you. Please contact me at [email protected]
I look forward to working with you to help you achieve your French property dream.
