Come to Paris this Spring to Learn Travel Writing and Photography…and Discover the City of Light in a Way You Never Could as a Tourist

This May, under the shadow of the Eiffel Tower, the air will carry the warmth of spring. In the Champs de Mars, the vast garden that unfolds at the monument’s base, you’ll find a sea of pink tulips in bloom, and nuzzled up to them a froth of violet, yellow, and mango pansies with their faces turned to smile at the sun.

With blossoms painting the city bright and trees budding green, May is the finest month to spend time in the City of Light. April in Paris may be famous, but the truth is, it tends to be rainy then. May, by contrast, is positively delightful.

The city reawakens, and you’ll find the locals, having braved a cold French winter inside, out to enjoy the sun — sipping coffee at sidewalk cafés, walking along the light-dappled Seine, reading in green park chairs amid blossom-filled fields.

The tourists have yet to arrive in May, and so it’s when you discover Paris at its very best. A warm, authentic, irresistible Paris.

And that’s why my good friend, Lori Appling, Director of AWAI’s Travel Division has scheduled their upcoming travel writing and photography workshops here for May 16-19. They’ll be based at the Paris Hilton, next to the Eiffel Tower and the Champs de Mars, a stone’s throw from the Seine and the perfect jumping off point for exploring the most romantic city on earth.

For the four-day event, you choose the track you prefer — writing or photography. They’ll hold some class sessions together — writers will learn about how to buy a camera and include photos with their articles…photographers will learn how to write the sorts of travel articles that go best with their photographs and how, specifically, to sell them.

Then each group will break off and work separately — photographers on their photos and writers on their articles.

It’s the ideal event to attend with your spouse or a guest as he or she is invited to participate in either track for a very deep discount.

In the Writing Track You’ll Learn…

*** The #1 easiest and fastest way to get a by-line and a check
*** How to write the kinds of stories editors want to buy
*** The easiest kind of article to sell and resell
*** How and where to find the best freelance assignments
***How to charm editors into giving your more (and better) assignments
*** Six editing techniques that’ll make any writer look like an expert

Plus…

*** How to buy the digital camera that’s best for you
*** How to include photos with your articles and not only increase your chances of landing a by-line, but earn more, too
In the Photography Track You’ll Learn…
*** The difference between an average snapshot and a $10,000 photograph
*** How to break into online stock agencies and the local fine art market to sell your photos
*** The ins and outs of dealing with models and model releases
*** Pro-level Photoshop® techniques that’ll make any photographer look like an expert
*** How to sell the photos you take on this trip

Plus…

*** How to write stories around your photographs to sell them to magazines and newspapers
*** How to use travel articles to double your success (and your income)

This is the workshop that began here in Paris and is at home in Paris. This is the workhop that I was a part of from the beginning and taken personally. This is the workshop I’ve witnessed dozens of people love and benefit from. Don’t miss this opportunity.

Join Lori and her colleagues to find out just how easy it can be as a writer or photographer to explore the world, meet new people, and enjoy the freedom and independence of an income, no matter where in the world you choose to live.
