Renting One Month to One Year? If We Don’t Have It, We Can Find It!
Volume XVI, Issue 45
Looking to move to Paris and rent a furnished long-term apartment? You ask, what’s a long-term apartment? Good question, as there are varying answers.
You can be in France up to 90 days on the visa waiver program, so lots of people come for what we call “mid-term” to test the waters without having to apply for a long stay visa. Finding an apartment to rent for one, two or three months isn’t so easy, but neither is finding a furnished apartment to rent for longer — up to one year.
Fortunately for you, we can help you with just about any length of time you wish to stay in Paris (and other parts of France). Due to the current rental laws in the City of Light which make some rentals illegal, we are moving away from offering “short-term” vacation apartments — classified as less than one month.
Interestingly enough, every legal furnished one-year lease (and even unfurnished three-year leases in Paris) comes with a mandatory 30-day cancellation clause. That means that if you were to cancel your lease the day you moved in, you’d have a legal one month stay! We’re not suggesting you do that, however! Still, one-month stays make everyone happier and safer from the neighbors and the authorities.

Most of our short-term rental apartments have moved to long-term rental to comply with the Paris rental laws. This is a big advantage to you as a mid to long-term renter. Not only can we offer you American-style service when booking, but one of the best things about renting an apartment we represent is that you won’t have to go through a highly rigorous approval process, nor sequester a year’s worth of rent in an escrow account to satisfy a nervous landlord. Our landlords are almost all North American and appreciate having North American (or other Anglophone nationality) tenants who feel comfortable with one another, culturally.
Here are some of our best long-term apartments ready for rental…
LE PASTORELLE, 3rd:
Stylish two-bedroom triplex in Le Marais. One Month to Six Months.
LE QUAI AUX FLEURS, 4th:
Great location on the Ile de la Cité with views of the Spires of Notre Dame. One Year Minimum Lease.
RUE MONGE, 5th: (See photos here)
One-bedroom on the 5th floor with elevator. One-Year Minimum Lease.
LE POET DE SAINT MICHEL, 6th:
One-bedroom duplex apartment near the Seine and Place St. Michel. One Month to One Year.
LE PETIT ST. GERMAIN, 6th:
Left Bank studio in the heart of St. Germain des Prés with decor inspired by famous Parisian cafés by Interior Architect Martine di Mattéo. One Month to One Year.
If none of these fit your bill, we can find you just about anything you are looking for. We recommend our search service for long-term rentals to ensure that you will have proper accommodations. We provide a service to assist you in finding apartments in Paris, Nice or elsewhere in France based on your preferences, budget and needs. Our rental professional will ask you to complete a questionnaire to determine your specific needs and desires, consult with you, perform an apartment search and selection, provide photos and descriptions or set up visits, plus assist you to negotiate the lease or on your behalf. We can secure the apartment with your proxy and for an additional fee, set up the utilities (electricity, gas, phone, Internet, TV, etc.) to make your transition as easy and worry-free as possible.
To inquire about any of these apartments or learn more about our search service, email us at [email protected] or fill out our online form.
A bientôt,
