SPECIAL EDITION: Two New Luxury Apartments in the City of Light and Love

Today we’d like to share some GOOD news from Paris. There are even more people committed to and in love with Paris than ever before. Not surprising, Paris is the most visited city in the world and we don’t believe that will ever change. Let’s face it, we all know there is no city in the world more beautiful or romantic than Paris, nor another as profound a place to visit and enjoy.

For that reason, foreign owners continue to invest in Paris and offer up their luxury apartments to other lovers of Paris and France. Our two newest vacation rental offerings are just that…luxury apartments recently purchased and refreshed with love and tender care to welcome other Francophiles coming from all over the world.

Now’s your chance to book these apartments and all of our others at low seasonal rates and take advantage of all that Paris offers. Remember, this is not only the City of Light. It’s the City of Light and Love. Come and revel in it.

*** Le Petit Bretagne

Le Petit Bretagne studio, is located on the quiet courtyard of a very charming 18th-century building in the heart of Le Marais. There isn’t an apartment in Paris brighter or filled with more light with beautiful views on a real Marais-style courtyard.

Le Petit Bretagne was refreshed this past year with all new furnishings and appointments. It is completely equipped in spite of its size! Complete with a queen-size bed that converts to twin beds when desired, an LG brand washer/dryer combination, Krups espresso maker, microwave, toaster-oven, two-burner ceramic stove, refrigerator, high speed Internet, flat screen TV, DVD player, Bose Bluetooth Soundlink speaker, and free(!) long distance phone service to 100 countries, this delightful and cozy studio makes a perfect Parisian home for one or two.

The studio has been crafted with loving hands by local mosaic artist, Véronique Husson, who created the mosaic-tiled kitchen and bathroom and special touches on the walls. In addition, it’s a tech-lover’s dream with all the latest high-tech equipment for easy plug-ins, including remote control dimming lights to set the perfect mood.

The bath is equipped with both a rain shower head and hand-held shower, hair dryer and glass shelving to put all your personal belongings. There is ample storage space in a floor-to-ceiling closet equipped with a clothing hamper, marketing cart, step stools, multiple areas of hanging space for your clothing, four drawers and lots of shelving. In addition the nightstand and three-drawer dresser provide enough storage pace to move in for the rest of your life!

Located on the third floor (European, no elevator) up sweet carpeted wooden Marais stairs, facing southeast, this quiet studio gets a beautiful amount of sunlight through all three windows, adorned with white linen drapes.

With rue de Bretagne just next door, the apartment embraces the heart of the Marais and central Paris with all the typical French commerce you could ever wish for, including three boulangeries (bakeries), a number of boucheries (butchers), poissonneries (fish markets), épiceries (grocery stores), primeurs (fruit/vegetable shops), fleuristes (flower shops), bar/tabacs (tobacco shops), cafés and lots of excellent and charming restaurants, not to mention Paris’ oldest covered market, Les Enfants Rouges, which dates back to 1615!

With all this bustling just steps away, the apartment remains bucolic — calm, serene and peaceful. This is where the writer in you can create your life-long masterpiece.

In the last few years, designer boutiques and art galleries have sprung up like tulips. The district becomes more and more important to Paris’ finest artisans. It is only minutes from the Musée Picasso, the Places des Vosges and a ten-minute walk to Saint-Paul, Hôtel de Ville and Notre Dame. Don’t miss the Square du Temple, Le Carreau du Temple and the City Hall of the 3rd Arrondissement before reaching Place de la République — where so much in Paris takes place. The location is great and with a large number of transportation lines, you’re only minutes away from just about every part of the city.

*** L’Orient du Marais

“L’Orient du Marais” is where you will have the best of all worlds — where East and West come together to ‘dance’…it’s

your chance to stay in an apartment dating back to 1768 with aged exposed oak beams and parquet flooring, set against lusciously-colored furnishings inspired by the Orient, superbly located in the heart of Le Marais with a view on the Place du Marché Saint-Cathérine and a block away from the famous 400 year-old Place des Vosges.

Your first step into the apartment offers you an exceptional perspective. The narrow, but long apartment unfolds in one sweep through the living and dining room areas, the bedroom, and out through the window that overlooks a fountain at the end of the ‘petite’ rue Necker. It’s a perspective that gives you the full effect of the dark wood combined with warm colors and subtle lighting.

To the left as you enter the apartment, there is an open iron staircase that leads up to the mezzanine where a second queen-size bed has been smartly snuggled. Behind the staircase is the fully-equipped kitchen. The staircase acts as storage accessible from both sides.

The master bedroom is open to the apartment, but can be separated by two sliding-doors and silk drapes. The queen-size murphy bed is presented “ready for use.” but if more floor space is required it can be pushed back up and into the wall.

The sofa in the living room can also be made into a bed, allowing the apartment to accommodate six people. The flat-screen TV is discretely hidden behind wooden cabinets in the living room area. The apartment offers two built-in desks (where you may feel inspired to write your novel!), and considerable cabinet space and bookshelves.

The bath and toilet are separate from one another, making it easier to accommodate many guests. There is a large walk-in shower in the bathroom, lots of storage and a washer/dryer combination to make your stay feel like being at home.

As with all of our luxury apartments, the kitchen is fully equipped with a four-burner gas stove, full oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator and other appliances. All dinnerware, silverware, etc. is furnished so you’ll have want of nothing. All linens and an ample supply of towels are provided, too. This is a perfect apartment in which to entertain your Parisian friends, or just cozy up with lots of space and all the amenities.

Included in your rental is high-speed wireless Internet and unlimited free phone calls to over 100 countries, including cell phones in the US and Canada. The television receives 150 channels, several of which are in English.

Make “L’Orient du Marais” your home for several days or several weeks. The best of both worlds need not remain only a dream.
