Property Search Consultant & Listing Agent
With more than 10 years of experience in real estate, representing both buyers and sellers, Jennifer is uniquely qualified to help her clients navigate the complex and often confusing process of buying property in France.
Jennifer knows personally what it takes to move your life overseas. In 2016, she and her husband relocated to a small town in the southwest of France, to the Aude department in Occitania. As she describes it, “I hit the jackpot, because we arrived on what was called a Talent Passport Visa, which allowed me to work right away.”
After a chat with her new next-door neighbor, a retired real estate agent, they both realized that a significant opportunity existed in their part of France, where there were no real estate agencies within a half-hour drive from their town. And more importantly, none of them operated the way Jennifer knew they should: with an equal focus on the buyer as well as the seller.
Soon after, Jennifer and her neighbor started Cathar Country Houses, focusing on helping local French families sell their beautiful village homes and country estates. Their buyers were mostly foreigners who needed a lot of hand holding, which meant that Jennifer’s work was as much about relocation as it was about property. “I loved the full-service aspects, helping people realize a dream. It’s not just about houses for me; it’s about people.”
During COVID, Jennifer and her husband moved to the Cote d’Azur where she continued her work in real estate, joining Sotheby’s in Cannes. However, within a few months, she met Adrian, of Adrian Leeds Group, and realized she’d found her dream job: helping North American buyers purchase property throughout France.
Jennifer grew up in Chicago, but spent her adult life in the northeast, settling in New Hampshire where she attended Dartmouth College and later completed her MBA at the Tuck School of Business. Jennifer’s two adult sons still live in the United States, while she considers herself an “ex-expat,” fully integrated into French life. Jennifer’s husband, Vinx, is a professional musician and songwriter, and together they run a series of songwriting and creativity workshops from Vinx’s music studio in Sarlat la Canéda in the Dordogne. In 2017, they launched an annual music festival, Chalabre en Serenade.
